9th International Spring Course "Crime Prevention through Criminal Law & Security Studies" and 3rd Adriatic Moot Court Competition

From 2 to 8 of April 2017, the Inter-University Centre in Dubrovnik hosted the 9th edition of the International Spring Course "Crime Prevention through Criminal Law & Security Studies", which was organized by the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb, with the support of organizing partners Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law (Freiburg, Germany) and De Paul University (Chicago, USA). After going through a selection process, about 30 participants from all over the world (United States of America, United Kingdom, China, Italy, Germany, Iran, Romania, Finland, Netherlands, Lithuania, Macedonia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina...) had the opportunity to attend presentations of renown scholars and professors who discussed various topics related to this year's course title: Criminal Law and Human Rights.

The award of best PhD research paper presentation certificate was shared between Maliheh Dadkhah and Elena Mujoska Trpevska.

The Course also included the 3rd Adriatic Moot Court Competition, in which students from different countries actively participated. The competition was coordinated by a distinguished American lawyer Steven W. Becker, Assistant Secretary General of the International Association of Penal Law (AIDP). Members of the winning team were Tatiana Soldanescu, Stjepan Šikoronja, Domagoj Dananić and Alice Savarino, while Domagoj Dananić and Tatiana Soldanescu also shared the best oralist award.
